Tracking details of flights - gazpode_l - 28-06-2010 I'm really getting back into flight, flightsim and also am now starting to use the internet to track and follow flights that I see moving overhead. I currently use a mix of http://www.flightradar24.com, flightaware.com (thanks to separate forum post by another member - name to be mentioned as soon as I remember whom!) and today discovered http://www.aviationexplorer.com/flight_tracker.htm. I use the following to retrieve historical data:- http://www.antonakis.co.uk/acars.php?page=request and http://data.flight24.com/ (subsidary of the above radar site) However none of these currently show me exactly where a plane has gone and atonakis's email system does not appear to be working! Could any of our members help me to retrieve historical data? Re: Tracking details of flights - iflyfsx - 29-06-2010 http://flightaware.com/ Re: Tracking details of flights - timtomairways - 29-06-2010 What do you mean. Flight aware provides that, Re: Tracking details of flights - gazpode_l - 29-06-2010 Doesn't seem like it will allow me to key in the registration etc.. TIMTOM: Could you give me some help in using the site? Want to extract details from may 30th Re: Tracking details of flights - gazpode_l - 29-06-2010 From the FAQ's of flight aware "Although FlightAware keeps the data forever, currently only the most recent seven days of activity are available for viewing." Also I wld not be sure on how to search by tail/reg no Re: Tracking details of flights - gazpode_l - 29-06-2010 Now found it only allows tracking of N registered planes. I've requested they add some details of the planes I wish to track but still don't think I will ever be able to research details into my flights! |
