Re: New Version??? - SaVas - 14-11-2005

This is a question best suited for Suuuuuuuuuuuuuper Dan!

lol

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 14-11-2005

Great! Did you inform Dan that the new version is about to come? lol
Serious though, if true, maybe there can be a bug fix list or so Wink

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 14-11-2005

this is the 3rd time ive seen a post about updates in the last few days, and im on here daily and aint seen anything mentioned by dan
about any update lately (maybe i missed it in on of my drunken manners lol )

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 14-11-2005

My god, you're daily here?? lol

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 14-11-2005

i only come on to see you Dutch lol

infact i came to see you tonite, landed at EHAM - 19R - didnt you see me in my Citation? lol

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 14-11-2005

lol No, i was on a flight from heathrow to trondheim. I wanted to see snow (according to http://www.snow-forecast.com/ ) there would be snow tonight
but i had pouring rain Smile

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 14-11-2005

since i installed ASV, ive never had even rain, only a few clouds here and there Hunappy was alightly thicker clouds as i approached holland, but
nothing bad

What is the radar for? does that show up cloud cover or rain or what? still not read the manual lol as only once see a dot on it, and that
was in the distance when i landed at EHAM

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 14-11-2005

oh look

manual work wonders............

Note that only PRECIPITATION is shown, NOT CLOUD FORMATIONS. It is a common misconception that radar shows clouds. This is
not true. It can only detect high moisture and precipitation.

lol

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 14-11-2005

The radar shows precipitation, so not just clouds Smile
I usually check online where there is weather i like to fly in and then i go thereSmile
In the radar options make sure you load your fs9 flight plan, it shows the route then also on the radar.

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 14-11-2005

i just did the 'new route' today, and did EGNT - EHAM (not actually load a flightplan) and where it says the distance at the top, is was
saying EHAM was like 8000nm away lol

do you make a flightplan with the default flight plan option, save it, then start up asv and load it up?

ps, well there goes another thread we managed to go Off topic

erm, original question - no updates planned as far as im aware, but only Dan can answer that

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 14-11-2005

Yes, press new route in asv and then browse to the route you like, import and process, it gives you loads of info for along the route tooSmile
Also in activeradar itself, load the route and press update etcSmile
This is not really off topic, it just develops in a natural way Smile

Re: New Version??? - Dutch64 - 15-11-2005

Btw, how do you like asv so far?

Re: New Version??? - Drew - 15-11-2005

i'll fly back home from EHAM tomorrow and give it a go Smile
