FS2Crew - ezzeke3 - 12-11-2005 Not sure if anyone has bought FS2Crew, but I just bought it two days ago and using that with FSPax is "as real as it gets" in my opinion. I have the FS2Crew version that goes with the PMDG 737NG. I think with some of the features FS2Crew it makes things a LOT more difficult when used with FSPax. Just a couple of examples are when u go to pushback, the ramp agent may stop the push to load late arriving suit cases, during taxi the flight attendant might KNOCK on the door and ask if someone can use the bathroom, you go through an ENTIRE checklist with the first officer from receiving the aircraft all the way to the termination of the flight. The ONLY problem I've ran into is both flight attendants bring coffee to u at the same time. But in FS2Crew she also brings you FOOD!!!! Dan!!!!! Wheres the food?!?!?!?!? ![]() Re: FS2Crew - fruitfly - 12-11-2005 You're talking about FS2Crew for PMDG? Have you tryed the ATR version for? Re: FS2Crew - ezzeke3 - 12-11-2005 I've hear nothing but good things for the ATR version of FS2Crew from the guys over at United... But I just couldnt believe how realistic it was.. u go through almost everything a real world airline pilot would go through as far as checklists. The annoucements to the passengers are real as it gets... Re: FS2Crew - fruitfly - 12-11-2005 Just bought it and installed..... stay tuned! ![]() Re: FS2Crew - ezzeke3 - 12-11-2005 which version did ya buy? let me know because if u bought the one of the other versions I might go ahead and buy it. I am HIGHLY impressed with the PMDG737NG version!!!! I am thinking about buying the version for the default 737, I'm just not sure if it has all the same things as the PMDG737NG version Re: FS2Crew - fruitfly - 12-11-2005 I don't know if we misunderstood each other; the ATR version was released couple of hours ago ( it's still no.1 news on avsim), so I doubt there are more than one verion of it. So far, I'm reading the manual and the program is much more elaborate and comprehensive than the one for 737 (no matter what version). Hear this: "The developers of FS2Crew worked with the developers of the ATR to achieve seamless integration between the two products. The result is that FS2Crew is the first of its kind to be able to interact fully with a high end 3rd party add-on like the ATR that uses a lot of custom code not documented in the FS9 SDKs. FS2Crew can read and control every switch on the ATR, which is something no one else can do. This feature alone is huge; it opens up a lot of doors that would otherwise remain closed. FS2Crew caneven access the ATR’s FMS." I don't know if you own F1's ATR which is IMHO one of - if not 'the most' - rewarding airplane of them all - it has just the right measure of 'the new and the old'. - Glass cockpit, yes, but with dials, FMS, yes, but there is no path to follow-you have to do your best, autopilot, of course, but no VNAV; you have to calculate the rate of descent and when to start, autotthrottle, sure, but below 8-10 000ft you have to pay attention not to overspeed..... and finaly, the plane is (ideally) meant for trips up to 200 miles which suits me the best. Anyway, "every switch" for that plane means - A - LOT !!!! Now I'll keep on reading! ![]() P.S. I also have3/4 L of great red vine and some smelly cheese! Yummy! Drew & Dutch - eat yourselves! Post Edited ( 11-12-05 16:54 ) Re: FS2Crew - ezzeke3 - 12-11-2005 Im not sure if the ATR was just released a couple of hours ago... It was available to download when I bought the PMDG737NG version... I dont have the ATR though.. I was thinking of buying that also... and after reading the features FS2Crew had to offer for the default 737 I will be buying that also... Re: FS2Crew - fruitfly - 12-11-2005 Well... in any case be sure you're willing to go through all the pre/during/post flight checklists and stuff , otherwise you'll be wasting your money. And as far as F1 ATR is concerned, it's one of the best planes for FS9. (BTW, F1 was hired by the real ATR to make a simualtion of their aircraft - http://atr.flight1.net/ .) Re: FS2Crew - eazy - 12-11-2005 As far as I know the ATR Edition was released on wednesday. I got it 2 days ago and still learning. Just had to abort another training flight because I forgot one step in the flow. Hell, it's a lot to learn but what a fun! Didn't test together with FSP yet. First FSP test flight scheduled for tonight. ![]() Re: FS2Crew - fruitfly - 12-11-2005 Quote:eazy wrote: So what day is today ? ![]() Post Edited ( 11-12-05 17:41 ) Re: FS2Crew - Dutch64 - 12-11-2005 Saturday!
