What do you think were the must brutal airfields you've landed on bush flying?

PASO - Seldovia Alaska is a fun one to fly into, not too terribly rough but it does have mountains on each end of the runway. Cannot recall the
4-letter ID but Dawson City Yukon is another fun one, esp at night or in poor WX.

I've done a few in Alaska/Canada, but haven't come across any that are too bad. Still, any can be bad in bad weather! I like landing at a strip on the
edge of the Grand Canyon, L50. Its not all that challenging, but interesting because of its proximity to the Grand Canyon. 'Savas' could probably tell
you about some of the tougher strips in Alaska.

Mostly anywhere in Saudi Arabia, Irak, Texas and northern Alaska's reserves... oh, and you can definitely rule out Viet Nam

Seriously though, I can't think of any airfield that are a real challenge... well I get you could fly an NDB approach in blowing snow with
crosswinds of 20kts and 1/2 mile visibility in a very mountenous region if you really wanted to have fun!

While not a "bush" destination, flying into Aspen CO at night or in any kind of weather is entertaining

Well, I hear he landed in Cancun today but not sure how "brutal" the landing was. :D
But seriously folks!
I saw something on the History Channel - Modern Marvels: Runways, a while back. They did a segment on bush pilots and on some
pretty hair raising strips - just can't remember where. I'll check the tape later. I want to say in Idaho or thereabouts.
Pretty wild though, how in this area, no materials may be brought in to build runways - you have to make due with what's there so many
are referred to as, "scratches."

Oh yeah, FLYING magazine did a story a couple months back that was a week long back country trip that Harrison Ford takes part in every year. Some of
the places they go to he has to pass on landing as the strips are too narrow for his Beaver. Being an Alaskan, when I hear bush flying I always think
of home first, but there are some other good areas out there. I imagine that Central and South America have some really entertaining bush flying.
