sorry. . . - AeroJim - 10-03-2006 ok i need help, its a question from a guy who doesnt really deal with a lot of add-ons, where do i put a new plane i downloaded from avsim to get it to show up in my pull down menu? Re: sorry. . . - samiranks - 10-03-2006 go to your c:/programs/microsoft games/flightsimulator 9/aircraft There you go put the file in that folder of course the plane you download will have a name in the folder eg. posky 747. thats what youll put in the folder. hopefully thats where your flightsimulator folder is located.... Re: sorry. . . - AeroJim - 10-03-2006 damnit, that is where i put the bloody thing. .. maybe not, i'll check. Re: sorry. . . - samiranks - 10-03-2006 let me know if it works for you Re: sorry. . . - Valoran - 10-03-2006 sometimes when you put a new aircraft directly into the .../aircraft folder it will make a new "aircraft" folder so the tree looks like this: ...? aircraft/aircraft/(name of plane). I've run into that problem once or twice. The fix, of course, is just to move the folder that has the aicraft's name back out into the main .../aircraft folder. It should show up then.
