For those who are doing Bush flying scenarios - SaVas - 02-02-2006

I find that a lot of developers have set their aim at add-ons for larger airports and heavy jets, and far off bush sceneries are in the minority,
however, I have two easy recommendations to help alleviate the lack of bush sceneries:

For freeware (and a couple of donationware airports) : http://www.cysjhangar.ca/canuk/ They have a lot of smaller airport sceneries
scattered across Canada

For payware: http://www.aerosoft.com/
They have released the stand alone Freight Dogs scenery and you can get a discount of 25% if you have purchased any of the following
from their download shop or simmarket: Misty Fjords, the Aerosoft Beaver, the D18 w/ Marthas Vineyard, and FS cargo.

These are just two of the latest. There are a number of freeware addon sceneries at AvSim and simviation that take care of Alaska and
other areas of Canada as well.

Hey Savas, I have the Abacus World Extreme Landscapes 4 dvd set and it made a big difference in terrain world-wide, really nice add-on.
I'm very happy with it. However, I'm wondering if the above you mention is add-on for "bush airports" only (?)....or is it a "terrain" change
also? My point: I don't want to add something "terrain wise" that takes a way from the AWEL.

Thanks, Horse.

Well the Aerosoft payware addon is made to work extremely well with Holger Sandmann's Misty Fjords (which I also have). I think the
scenery only for Freight Dogs, has various landclass areas set up for the prospective airports only in close proximity to the surroundings,
so I dont think it would affect your terrain much if at all.

The CanUK sceneries are made to work with the CanUK landclasses that come with the downloads, however I have FSGenesis
landclasses and they seem to all work fine without adding the CanUK terrain meshes.

Some really good and small photorealistics airports in Quebec:

The site is in french, but if you click on a picture you'll get a link to avsim, in English.

They're all in the "bush line" in Quebec.
