[FREE best space simulator] space shuttles - jetdude43 - 01-02-2006 sorry im asking a question that has nothing to do with fsP but, where can i get a space shuttle to fly that isnt nicks space shuttle challenge? Re: space shuttles - WBHoenig - 01-02-2006 Orbiter Space Simulator. Re: space shuttles - Jason - 01-02-2006 Purchase this http://www.planetmic.com/orbit/spasim01.htm Re: space shuttles - runibl - 01-02-2006 I don't know about space shuttles for Flight Simulator, But if you wan't to fly in space with space shuttles, Apollo, various space ships and rockets and Dan's Deltaglider, I would highly reccomend Orbiter flight simulator here http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html But a warning, it has a very steep learning curve. But it has high realisme in orbital mechanics. Re: space shuttles - jetdude43 - 01-02-2006 is it free? cuz if it isnt i cant get it...im only ten, any other ones? Re: space shuttles - runibl - 01-02-2006 Orbiter space flight simulator is totaly free. Re: space shuttles - runibl - 01-02-2006 1 more thing. Microsoft space simulator is very old. Orbiter is new, simular, better. And did I mention it is free. Re: space shuttles - jetdude43 - 01-02-2006 lol yea for the second time Re: space shuttles - Drew - 01-02-2006 runi,,, is it free? [moved to fs2004 general] Re: space shuttles - WBHoenig - 01-02-2006 It is simply amazing! Especially with NASSP (Apollo addon), as well as Delta Glider III and OrbiterSound (both made by Dan himself!) His DGIII forum is the reason I am here right now. OrbiterSound is a must have addon and the Deltaglider is excellent, can't wait for DGIV (wonder what Dan got for us next). Dan's Orbiter page is how I got here as well. Re: space shuttles - WBHoenig - 01-02-2006 Although I couldn't re-enter worth squat on DGIII. Re: space shuttles - jeremy19446 - 01-02-2006 There a space shuttles for MSFS but since the simulator only allows you to climb to 99,000 ft. theres no point really, like others said Orbiter is a great simulator but it does require a little practice, I've been using it for a few months a still cannot take-off and stay in orbit or re-enter ![]() Re: space shuttles - WBHoenig - 01-02-2006 I can get into space and hold orbit. I cannot come back in. I was pretty good for a time with NASSP, however. Re: space shuttles - DanSteph - 01-02-2006 Orbiter is by far the best Space simulator made, with hundred add-on made by passionated users. And it's totally FREE. As mentionned you can download it from here: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html Once downloaded and installed don't forget to download my "OrbiterSound" add-on otherwise you would not have any sound in Orbiter (martin the creator didn't included the sound in Orbiter) download from here: http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=d Also you can try out my DeltaGliderIII (DGIII) a vessel wich is on some way the "ancestor" of FsPassengers from here: http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=dgIII ![]() The DGIII Advanced panel with many system: (all functionnal) ![]() some litle screenshots of Orbiter: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() more screenshot here: http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=s Dan Post Edited ( 02-01-06 03:43 ) |
