problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. UPT, now with screen. - JohanK - 16-01-2006 I just bought this plane and i have one problem, i am following this tutorial http://smithplanet.com/fs2004/pmdg/ and i know ive done everything right. But when it comes to pulling the Engine switches out one by one starting on no: 4 nothing happens, it just sounds "click" but that white dot dosent appears, i cant see the rpm go up, and so on. And ive gone thrw the tutorials several times just to make sure ive done everything correct and i have! I also tried Autostart but i could still not pull the swtiches. The engines dont have electricity, the swtiches are on "ON" but "OFF" is lighted on the same button, the tutorial sais that the "OFF" will dissapear when ive started the engines. Help please, i really wanna fix this. Post Edited ( 01-17-06 18:02 ) Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - vollmey - 16-01-2006 Make sure the fuel is on, goto the throttle screen and make sure the fuel switches are in the up postion or on. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - runibl - 16-01-2006 I just tried to start my pmdg 747 up for the first time yesterday. I used the checklist (F10), and it started up without problems. Try using the the default checklist and see if that works. Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - vollmey - 16-01-2006 Well, if your not getting anything the fuel has to be off somewhere. Make sure on the overhead panel everything is on, other than that, I guess go back through the checklist carefully and maybe you missed something. Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - dolbinau - 16-01-2006 For me if you turn on the fuel cut-off swithes (On the Pedastal) the Start Switches light up white, are you sure your doing this? Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - runibl - 16-01-2006 From a cold and dark cockpit, I follow the checklist line by line, word by word. And i'm up and running cleared for takeoff. So if you did that, then there shouldn't be a problem. Is the APU & APU bleed running? The level-d 767 requires that the APU is running for engine start, It might be the same on the 747. All fuel pumps should be on for tanks containing fuel, and X-Feed switches should be on. Re: problems with the PMDG 747. Engines wont fire up :/ Help please. - DavidPowell - 17-01-2006 Try turning at least two packs off as they sap the bleed air, and make sure that fuel is on at the throttles.
