737's - CODY614 - 18-12-2005 Well somebody help. Alaska Airlines calls it...737-490? Southwest calls it...........737-H4? How can you tell which one is the 600-700-800-900? And if the Southwest is an H-4 what is the fuselage lenght...119' 7"? Reason I ask is I want to do a couple of re-paints...And I cant' figure out were the PMDG A/C fit in. According to Airliners Net. Fuselage lenghts are as follows..... The 400.............119' 7" The 500.............101' 9" The600/700......102' 6" The800/900......138' 2" So my guess is that the 737-490 that Alaska flies is way different than.....The Emergency exits over the wing seem to be different on each companys model? Any help would be great....Or some comments on wether or not this kind of accuarcy really matters? Jeff T. Re: 737's - SWAFO - 18-12-2005 Don't let it get to you ![]() They're just different numbers for slightly different aircraft configurations, or aircraft owners. All of Southwest's jets for example have the H4 suffix (as you mentioned). A 737-300 would be 737-3H4. A -700 would be -7H4, etc. You should get the idea! It's basically like a special order number/owner identifier! Make sense? Re: 737's - CODY614 - 18-12-2005 Quote:SWAFO wrote: Yeah....Thats what I noticed....How each had it's own little difference's. So the' 700' is Southwest.....Cool. Thanks Brad....... Re: 737's - SWAFO - 18-12-2005 The -700 is Southwest? What? We have the -700 in the "7H4" variant. Technically, our 737-700 is called the 737-7H4. Hope this helps ![]() |
