the 744 is better if you want eye candy and a glass cockpit.

Don't know about the 744 but I have the 742 and that is one of the best aircraft I have. I'm just waiting on my crew to get up there and fly
her now.

Keep in mind that they're both very different aircraft. The 747-200 is an older version (with not as many "glass" gauges), while the 747-
400 is state of the art in all respects.

Ok, don't see why you're pointing this out in the first place, but I'm glad you're 13 and you fly lol

Sam,

With both planes you need a lot of experience with setup a plane for flight. When you buy it the manual is about 390 pages and you need
the manual to startup the plane.

Also you neeed experience with FMC and insert a route. Did you already bought the PDMG 737-800/900 or Airbus 320/321/330 ?

If you have questions you can contact me (i have bought both)

Sam,

Yes its better to buy the PDGM 737/800/900 in this plane you can first meet the manual startup a plane. The thing is that CTRL+E will
work, but somethings (like speed) will not work untill you have startup the plane as the manual says :P

Saterday i plan my first flight in the PDGM 747-400 KLM version. I print the manual (382 pages) , i try first the normal startup procedure :P
a chapther futher you see the abnormal startup procedure :P

Good luck with your 737 when there are questions ore something please feel free to ask.

A point of interest: RFP 747-200 engines can't be started with ctrl+E, so you can NOT check out how it flyes right after you buy it!
You'll have to read the manual and start them properly first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

My first complex plane was the old Iron Knuckles DC9, I still love her to bits because she gave me the bug for doing it all by the book. And
she worked with FSHotseat right out of the box which was a bonus, meant my co-pilot could help me out. And taught me how to paint an
airliner( painted 3 of 'em in Landmark colours)
