Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - FlyBoy2 - 19-08-2005 Can some one tell me how to switch Nav one and two so when I land at one of the Add on AIrports my Jet bridge will conect with the Aircraft ![]() And I finally worKed out all the bugs and had a pretty good flight from DTW to LAX with her today ![]() Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - nevinch - 19-08-2005 Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......as for me, unfortunately no matter what I do to fix that bird it still gives me nothing but problems. Stuff as simple as opening sub-menus by hitting Alt messes up the autothrottle......the other night was the last straw though. Flew a nine hour flight and paused it so I could print out some directions for my wife who always asks for stuff at the most inconvenient time (like approach LOL) .....so while in the midst of doing this.....FS just closed....no warning, no error message, it just vaporized. This never happened to me before until I installed the "Queen". Anyways, not to rain on your parade...I'm glad some people can get it to work as a bug free version because the potential of that plane is awesome!!!! I think this time around though that PMDG has gone so far in their programming effort that they just cannot debug the multitude of problems that arise from various OS and machine configurations matched up with their software. It doesn't help that people are on their websites flaming like crazy....not a very good motivational factor IMHO. But hey, have fun with er and treat er right!!!! I'm sure someone will come along and help with your bridge connect question. Chuck Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - jboweruk - 19-08-2005 Don't they program the same as any other plane? Won't FSP's keyboard input work?? Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - FlyBoy2 - 19-08-2005 hey Chuck, Did you go back and install the update patch? I don't think they are calling it that but this is what I did http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/downloads.htm .... Install that I was having a huge problem with the speed also and then realized if your flying a plane over 800,0000 pounds it has to be a nice and slow process. I couldn;t climb to over 30,000 till about an hour into the flight then I could only climb a little at a time till I reached fl350 .... I also noticed that if I hit the R Control pilot insted of the left one it seems to help, My Flight Weighed in at 840,0000 LBS with 380 passengers. Try not to climb once you are past the 20,0000 mark more then 400-700 feet per min and see how your Speed does I know there is a problem with the throttle, they haven't made a fix for that yet but I am hoping soon they will. I hope all this helps and happy flying I am going to try and do a LAX to Auckland Today with her. I'm not clear on what it is you're referring to. Quote:And I finally worKed out all the bugs and had a pretty good flight from DTW to LAX with her today Isn't that somewhat of a short flight for a 747? I think they'd fly something smaller on that route. Not sure though... all we fly is 737's ![]() That gives me bragging rights though! I'm certified on EVERY single plane the company has. Not very many pilots for American or the other big guys can say that ![]() Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - FlyBoy2 - 20-08-2005 LMAO, Brad United used to do a 747-400 on its Chicago O'hare to San Fran runs not sure if they used it for LAX but I am sure at one point they did. No one answered me about the jet bridges yet thought ![]() passing the info along to others. Joel Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - FlyBoy2 - 20-08-2005 to be more clear when you land at a addon airport you can type in Nav2 a code to get the gate to move up to the plane but I haven't figured out how to do that with this one. its a combo code with Nav2 and com1 Re: Need some help from your guys that own The Queen of the SKY - SWAFO - 20-08-2005 Oh... I wouldn't know how to do that either... you guys and your damn eyecandy! Lol! Now, I'm nearly 100% sure that no airlines use a 747 on any domestic route. I was pretty sure that they NEVER had either, so I may be wrong... Don't quote me on it! |
