Questions Questions. - Duncan - 14-03-2005 Hi all Will we be able to turn off the failure feature for some flights, I fly with a VA which has this feature build into its own software, so when I fly with them I would like to be able to turn off this feature in FsPassangers. Will there be random loads available, or will I have to set the loadout for each flight?, Its this feature that I find the most interesting, as being able to set (or hopefully have set) the loadout whilst in FS at the gate is more realistic, (I am assuming that includes fuel load), being able to then adjust the load, by leaving some of the baggage for example if the aircraft is too heavy. looks like a great program, I am hopeing it will interface well with the likes of FS Crew, could FS Passangers provide printouts to the system default printer of the load (a load sheet) ? Anyway have fun Duncan Re: Questions Questions. - djsebx - 14-03-2005 Q/ Will we be able to turn off the failure feature for some flights ? A >> Yes you can, in the options menu you can set the failures risk, as well as level of importance of failures in a second box. You can set 0% so FsP won't introduce any failure. Q / Will there be random loads available, or will I have to set the loadout for each flight?, A >> Actually you set the load : passegers number + cargo load + fuel load at opening FsPassengers, so for each flight. It's just 3 clicks and everyting is set ready to load passengers, provided you open your access door, or they won't be able to board until you do it :D Q / I am hopeing it will interface well with the likes of FS2Crew. A >> Yes it does perfectly. As FsPassengers also commands to close the door once boarding is complete, you'll be able to deactivate it if you're using FS2Crew (because this one at closing the door, will open it if you did not fix this in the boarding delay window, a box to check). Q/ Could FS Passangers provide printouts to the system default printer of the load (a load sheet) ? A >> In the actual beta, there is no print load sheet option, maybe DanSteph can tell your more on this one. Re: Questions Questions. - DanSteph - 14-03-2005 minor rectification: if you click on "immediate load" there is no need to open door or such, the aircraft is instantly loaded. Printout idea would be a nice feature, I can do that without problem (understand "in a couple of hours") I can even add optionaly passengers manifest when you request the print. (you would be able to preview it) (all flight report can be printed without problem already) I think to add also a new feature if you fly with "economical setting On" : the fact that only somes passengers want to take your flight. In real life most aircraft are not full but only filled at 50% 60% with passengers. This feature would etablish a link beetween your ticket price, the fact that this airport is often used or not and the maximum number of passengers that want to board your aircraft. So flying often from an airport will see the maximum number of passengers that want to fly your company increase in this airport. perhaps from 50% at start to 80% after somes flight starting at this airport. (will varying a bit randomly around those numbers) So you 'll have to "build your traffic" Of course setting low ticket price would see your flight filled with more passengers but in this case you must limit the expense (no drinks, no food aboard etc etc) What y a think about this idea... ? If you choose "non economicall mode" of course you don't have to worry to buy aircraft, fix ticket price or manage the financial stuff, you have only report, sound, log, maps and failures (if you want) and you can fill your aircraft at 100% Dan Re: Questions Questions. - DanSteph - 14-03-2005 doing Pilot datasheet and Load manifest right now... You will be able to preview and print this sheet from the payload dialog before starting the flight. Dan Re: Questions Questions. - Robjos - 14-03-2005 The economics mode would be really good. It would make the running of your airline far more realistic. What information does the pilot datasheet include on it? Robert Re: Questions Questions. - DanSteph - 14-03-2005 company name aircraft name MTOW TOW Fuel CG % number of Passengers flight ID from : (Airport ID) departure hours: (local) Optionnaly if you fill the info: (Fsp can't know that if you don't give it) to: (airport ID) arrival: (local) V1 V2 VR And I think also a empty box to fill whit whatewer you want for info, arrival ils frequency, alternate airport etc etc Optionnaly if you check the option, the passengers manifest with all your passengers name I started a preview in RTF to see how it will look than I'll program it in FsP. First Screenshots tonight I think Dan Post Edited ( 03-14-05 14:18 ) Re: Questions Questions. - Duncan - 14-03-2005 Hi Dan Yep this is all sounding great, thanks, looking forward to the release. The economic stuff sounds very interesting, and adds a whole new scope to the sim. Thanks for all your work Duncan. |
