Just Got FSX!!!!!!!!! - Air France - 13-10-2006

I just got FSX from a GameStop store about 20 min away from my house. I am very luck!!!! All stores have them but are not allowed to sell
them before Tuesday the 17th, it is called STREET DATE. They recive the game a while before but cant sell it before the release date. If
they do the store will get fined $ 10,000 by Microsoft and yes this is true. I called about 10 different EbGames and GameStop store and
only one of them was selling FSX. When i went to pick ot up i didnt tell him he wasnt suppose to sell it, i just paid and left. ( its his fault for
not knowing that and plus when they recived the package it say on the box DO NOT SELL UNTILL 10-17-06 )


Got home and installed it, took about 20 min. I was soooo excited!!!! I started playing and i said WOW. the graphics are AMAZING, and
YES you can tell the difference between FS9 and FSX. The canal i live on is in FSX it so amazing, i can even see the roads from real life
in FSX and i can see I-95!!!!


Now for performance i have a Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB of RAM and a video card of 512MB and it runs ok. ( Im almost in the full settings )
Since i want to have the best settings im thinking of buying the same video card and out them in SLI so i can have 1GB of video memory.
Some people said that the computers now are not powerfull enought for full setting in FSX, YES THEY ARE!!!!!!! but you do need a really
good system!!

So now im doing a flight with an Air France Posky 747-400 and it works fine.

hmmm the water and the sky textures look fine, but the ground... ehm, are you flying over a flat desert?

FS9 is still better with all addons.

Are there any United Parcel Service (UPS) liveries with the default aircraft in FSX?

They still only have the fictional airlines like Landmark, no RW airlines as default.

They need to start getting some real-world airline liveries in their fleet!

well they did. and cant do anything about it right now except fine them. I have a theory that they were in a rush to clear some things out, and they
just started grabbing things and putting them on shelves not even thinking about the consequences, of course they arent paid to be accurate, they are
paid to sell stuff, so what do they care?

I have a feeling that Best Buy knew all about the release date hold. They don't care if they have to pay a $10,000 fine! They make that much
money from a single one of their stores in two days! Do you really think they care? Plus, if a lot of people are wanting FSX, but they have to
wait until October 17, 2006 to get it, and they hear that it is available at Best Buy as they speak, where are they going to go? Wait to go to
Wal-mart until October 17, or go and purchase this simulator right now?! If there is so much anticipation about FSX, people aren't going to
want to wait to make their big purchase.
