Well at some stores anyway. I went to the Best Buy in town yesterday and there were some copies on the shelvesand picked up the DELUXE version.
NICEEEEEE! I hope Dan got a copy so he can start work on the new version.

Whats up with all this FSX hype? I'm in no hurry to buy it. I'm pretty satisfied with my current FS9 Setup. When PMDG and Level-D start coughingup those FSX plane is when I'll switch over.

If most of the current stuff (AS6, FSP, freeware planes and AFCADS, etc...) I have on my harddrive will work on FSX as is, I'll probably have
it by Christmas, if not....forget about it. I'll put the 50-60 bucks towards an X-box and a couple of decent games for it.

I'm not buying it either. I'm happy with FS9 the way I have it now. I'm happy with the graphics and as that's the only major improvement for
FSX I think it will take a long time before I will buy it.

I am not looking at upgrading until it is compatible with dx10 and Vista which should be by my reckoning about fsx10.2

im not upgrading for a while, first I'am buying a Xbox360, then a decent Digital camera, then a Computer upgrade, then FSX.
Also im 14 so that will take about 1 year.

The deluxe price seems a bit steep considering the extras appear limited and of limited value ot me . Is it worth the extra $30 CDN?

The deluxe has more aircraft and more detailed airports compared to the regular version. But we all know what Microsoft's default airports
look like no matter how hard they try to make it look good.
About their default aircraft, who flies them anyways? They are always going to suck. So why pay an extra $20.00 to get something that is totally pointless? But hey, it is your money, so do with it what you please!

Is it really only that?? mmmm, microsoft is very nasty. Don't you think that there is something else???
If its only because of the planes and the airports, forget it, i will buy the standard version.

Oh, just found something else! FSX Deluxe is for Vista and XP while the FSX Standard is only for XP! Wow! I was going to get the Standard, but not any more! Also, the deluxe contains the new Garmin G1000 in three cockpits, the ability to become an ATC and the SDK pack for development.

I'll wait until the first quad cpu's and DX10 graphics adaptors are actually available and affordable until I switch to FSX.
No point trying it with my hardware right now (D830)
I don't want to go through the same crap (slow fps chunky graphics) as I did when changing to any newer version of FS right from the start.
I am completely and totally tired of trying to win the race of "software vs hardware".
