Think about it... - Turbine - 24-05-2006

They say they are gonna make FSX as realistic as possible. I was watching some of these videos with the explosions the flames. Kinda makes ya wonder
if the crash affects will be added onto the aircraft as well? Do you guys think they are gonna bring the realistic crash affects back? I mean on
that oil rig you saw damage affects and etc. It would make sense if its added onto the aircraft as a realtic feature also...

Re: Think about it... - ste9889 - 24-05-2006

i really hope so, would be quite impressive if they do especially with DX10

Re: Think about it... - jboweruk - 24-05-2006

Apparently they were scripted in the mission.

Re: Think about it... - alphaone - 25-05-2006

I have a better idea: don't crash Smile

Re: Think about it... - crowebird - 25-05-2006

lol thats always a good one Wink

Re: Think about it... - Cydon Prax - 25-05-2006

It works nice though if you can crash and still fly; such as, hit the tip of your wing against a building, go to map, put your alt to 25000 and
fly as if you lost a part of the wing. Nice FS9 practice for Virtual Airlines. The part-lift effect on one and full-lift effect on the other. Or, lets say
you land so hard you bounce and the wheels fall off with a nice dirt effect; good luck landing again without wheels!

Crashing doesnt always mean the final second of the flight; it could be the first!

Re: Think about it... - aibiria - 28-05-2006

flight simulator is about flying. innit? lol

I didn't know it was about crashing. hahahahha. But in fact, I would really love to see that effects as well and the CRASH DETECTION Thing
taken off.

Re: Think about it... - xhado13 - 28-05-2006

But still, even though FS is about flying, and they wanted to make it as realistic as possible..why not? That would be cool id be crashing
all the time Wink Beer

Re: Think about it... - Adkow - 29-05-2006

Hey guys this is my first version of FS i used (9) so what version did they take crash FX outta??

Re: Think about it... - Turbine - 29-05-2006

I think they took it out on fs9 and had it Im guessing all the time before that. I think they took it out due to 9/11 for some reason not sure though.

Re: Think about it... - ste9889 - 29-05-2006

yeah it was because of 9/11, and yeah FS is about flying, but with flying comes risks and if something does go wrong with one of my
flights i would like to see the plane have realistic damage, like i said before, especially with DX10! lol

Re: Think about it... - captain_crunch - 29-05-2006

According to this guy and his free addon:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004misc10.htm (top of the page)

Crash damage is still included in FS9, it's just disabled!

Re: Think about it... - Turbine - 29-05-2006

Is there a way you can enable it?

Re: Think about it... - Turbine - 29-05-2006
