Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Joeflyer - 14-12-2006 I'm only 3 hours away from reaching C23 and I have to look forward to Lukla being the defining moment of my FsP career ![]() Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - m1r3o - 14-12-2006 can anyone say me how to fly in FSP world tour??Id' like to take part but i don't know how!Have I to download anything?please help me! GIVEN I should ever fully understand this issue,we will have to change some routeplans for the worldtour. Example: What if I fly in the south of Germany in the german airspace that is controlled by Swisscontrol (like Friedrichshafen)but with a course (north-easterly) that will keep me in Germany. So for Swisscontrol I am flying a northerly course = even levels, but for German airspace that would be easterly = odd. Swiss allowing all levels would mean that I would file the flightplan for odd numbers ?! Answer (really straigthforward): In Switzerland the SOUTH-EAST/ODD / NORTH-WEST/EVEN regulation is used. Flights to North-West directions (270°-089°) have to fly on an even flight level. Flights to South-East directions (090°-269°) have to fly on an odd flight level. Do not change that! Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - DBE - 14-12-2006 Quote:FsP Dennis wrote: Well: I just happen to have acquired a new collection of airline disaster videos which include a variety of Jets valiantly attempting to hurtle themselves off the side of a mountain. FYI: my top speed with a commercial jet (A320) at the end of the RW was approx. 65 knots. Maybe it would be wise to stop of for a nice Chicken Vindaloo on the way to Chiang Rai after all! ![]() And BTW: I have changed parts of the route so often that other "über-challenges" may still exist. Feedback (as always) is welcome! Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - HB-100 - 14-12-2006 It's indeed funny. I did it all the time with my A320. I thought DBE did that JET for the next route by intend. At least I read that and when I saw that airportscreenshot from eazy I thought you wanted us to do cliff starts. That's why I tried to land with the A320 all the time!!! Because somehow I need to bring the Jet up there first for that... But I saw that this is impossible. Hmm maybe with the learjet ... Edit to add after I read DBE's post, Yup you will not build enough speed to stay in the air. You need to put down the nose. That worked for me with the standard scenery. I believe I made it to 80 or 90knt there Post Edited ( 12-14-06 22:37 ) Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - DBE - 14-12-2006 Quote:HB-100 wrote: Brave man! I didn't even think of landing there with my A320. Kinda figured that I would work that out once I had managed to take off again..... ![]() Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - crowebird - 14-12-2006 oh.. I want someone to have fraps running or somthing, so we can watch a very amusing video ![]() Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - DBE - 14-12-2006 Quote:crowebird wrote: Maybe not.. ![]() Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Ceemosp - 14-12-2006 Hmmm...does anyone know if there is an AN72/74 available....... Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Joeflyer - 15-12-2006 I just tried several attempts to take off out of Lukla with a Lear 60...ain't gonna happen....poor flight dynamics. Tried with a Captain Sim 727-100 with 20 deg. flaps and blasted off like a rocket. I'm using the payware scenery at that ![]() Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Rex Dart - 15-12-2006 I'm hoping to take part in this, as it sounds like a blast. I've tried the first leg and did not save the first try. I'm going to have enough trouble without the burden of -1100 points. Note to self: make sure the joystick is working fully BEFORE starting a long flight, and make sure that the plane has enough fuel to make it. I finally piled it in with 4 minutes of fuel after a couple of go arounds... FSP has made me a much better pilot, but I still suck. I'm also trying to get FSinn running. Sadly, I'll find myself moving over the next two weeks, so even if I get everythig running, I'll still be a little spotty at first. Be on the lookout for me, I'll be the one upside down and on fire... Post Edited ( 12-15-06 05:52 ) Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - DSW334 - 15-12-2006 No Problem Rex.. On the second leg of the tour I overshoot the runway as there was a passenger boucing on the door yelling that we didn't have enough kerosine to make it. So I forgot to do the reverse thrusters which I only noticed almost at the end of the runway.. ![]() So.. No matter how bad you are, there are always people that are doing even worse.. And just remember. It's for fun. Not for money.. |
