Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Mick - 04-12-2005

Hello!

I have now my third virtual air company named 'Berlin Tempelhof Airlines'. My host as the name already shows is Berlin Tempelhof (EDDI) an airport I
have some very nice memories from my childhood. I have flown from there several times. Lately I receive a little birthday present from my mother where
was a very nice goody included. A flight ticket and a flight bulletin from British European Airways from the 10.04.1969, flight number 1163 and 1166,
from Tempelhof to Hamburg and back in a Vicker Viscount (reg.no. GAOHH). Exactly this aircraft is availabel for fs9 and I tried it some times
but give it up because the fuel usage is absolutely unrealistic high.

The flight bulletin gives the following informations about the flight:
The captain was Mr.Finke and the stewards have been Frl. Rodinke and Frl.Thomas
Flight altitude was 9500 feet / 3000 meters
Cruise speed was 310 mph / 500 kmh
Flight duration was 40 minutes

I memorise that flight very good because I had a very serious conversation with an airline captain who was sitting beside me on this flight. As
serious as a nine years old boy can be :-) This and some other flights from EDDI gives me a very strong feeling towards this airfield, so I choose it
as my host.

My fleet includes in the moment these aircrafts:

- B737-800 - Winglets
- B737-900
- Embraer 145 XR
- Embraer 170
- Airbus A318-111 CFM
- Airbus A320-200
- deHavilland Dash 7-100
- crj 700
- Beech D18S
- AC500S White Shrike
- AC500S Blue Shrike

My destinations are mostly domestic flights inside Germany and several cities inside Middle Europe and private charter flights. Sometimes I also fly
to several domestic destianations inside Indonesia from Klakah Airfield (a scenery which I made myself), where I was living for seven years.

My next investment will be the PMDG 747 as soon as my real and my virtual capital allows it...

Mick!

These birds belong to my Bay Airlines:

5x Piper Cherokee Six 300 (very profitable SEP aircraft, always four full seats or more!)
1x Maule with Floats (lots of lakes in North California)
1x Lockheed AL60 for short cargo hops

Used to have a C172 but sold it because it was sooooo slow. Once I flew from San Fran to Oregon on it... 5 hours on a C172... oh the horror!!!

For all you C1s out there, chekc out the Cherokee Six 300 by Fred Choate (spelling?), it's a six seater that falls into the minimum weight category for SEP, and is very profitable, and you can cruise at 140 knots! Great bird, I have a fleet of them...

Still using the demo version, getting to know the San Francisco Bay area a whole lot better than ever! Plan on buying the full version after I
make it to Turbo prop...

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Jetflyer - 08-12-2005

I've sold the old 727 because I can't fly it any more since its flight dynamics have gone wacky. My last landing it floated down the runway
with its nosewheel on the ground and its main landing gear up in the air and it wouldn't touch down so bouncing after 6 times and getting
3/4 down the runway I had to go around and then made a hugely hard landing the second time because I had to deploy the spoilers mid-
bounce to make it land and stay on the ground. I hate the fukin 727.

Just playing in 'career mode,' at present. Let the desk jockeys count the damn beans!

Using

PSS Dash 8 Q300
MAAM-SIM DC3 and R4D (Love that autopilot!)

I downloaded Alaska Airline's flight map from their website. That's my route guide, for now.

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - lightrail - 12-12-2005

I'm flying:

Cessna 208 for low demand coastal routes
DHC2 seaplane
Shorts 360 for short haul runs
Dash 8-200 for longer runs
CRJ200ER for long haul trips (wellm up to 3,000nm anyway)

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - runibl - 12-12-2005

My fleet at the moment consists of:

1x Cessna 206
1x Douglas DC-3
1x Dash 7-100
1x BAe 146-200 (This is what our airliner is flying)
1x PMDG 737-600 (This is what I am flying at the moment)

My airline is mostly operating out of my home airport on Faroe Islands (EKVG), at least for now until I get bigger aircraft.
I haven't had the PMDG for long, only flown a few flights with it (still learning). Next to try is a full autoland.

On my to buy list is:

Level-D 767
PMDG 747

Edit: Just tried Autoland... Went very well.

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - jboweruk - 13-12-2005

Okay need to update mine as my last post was long ago and a lot has changed since back then:

4 Bonanzas
1 Baron
2 Cessna 172R's
2 Cessna 206 Stationairs
1 Dakota
1 Cessna Golden Eagle
1 Cessna 310
1 Cirrus SR20 G2
1 Cessna 177 Cardinal

And I love them all but my biggest earner is my Dakota. My next plane is going to be a Pilatus Porter, then a Caravan. After that I want
some more bigger stuff. Probably another Dakota at least.

Nice collection Top

The new El Al livery xith the blue stripes fits quite well especially on the 747.
I made recently a repaint but for the Ifly 747 of the 4X-ELD like on this pic from airliner.net
[Image: 0980301.jpg]
with the maccabia games logo and one which I think was about a contest offering travels as price.
The repaint is on avsim

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Mac - 11-10-2006

When I started I felt (even though I had a fleet income) it was just me. An airline with only one aircraft. So what I'm doing is looking at routes I
would like to take up and making AI Aircraft in full livery to fill the gates. It's quite fun to taxi out to a runway and watch one of your own
aircraft land.

As far as FSP goes, so far I have:
1 Bombardier Q400 (Dash Cool, for local routes across UK and Ireland. total fleet of 3 made up by AI aircraft in full livery.
1 Boeing 737-700, for short hops across the channel (EGCC - LFPG / EHAM). total fleet of 4 made up by AI.
1 Boeing 737-800, Specially for EGCC - LIRF. Because I'm using ISD's Rome Intl, it's my faveourite route Top 2 total as AI
1 Boeing 757-200 (RR option) for EGCC - HECA, A good route that makes me a lot of money Smile 2 total as AI
1 Boeing 767-200 (RR option) was used for trans-atlantic routes, but I don't like the POSKY version, so I'm only keeping it as fleet income untill I
can get something new, then It's being sold.

What I plan to order when I have the money:
Airbus A330-300, to replace the EGCC - KBOS / KORD route previously done by my 767. Not just my first European aircraft, but (will) be my first
non-used aircraft. No AI's for this yet.
Airbus A340-300, for ... longer routes (if FSP will let me have a profit on 12hr flights)
Boeing 747-400, same as the A340.
Boeing 777-200ER, for the stupidly long routes.
BAC Concorde... c'mon! who wouldn't? Smile
