Good Morning chaps,

Unfortunately the Mooney bug still exists, i completly deleted and extracted the file from the link above into the \bin directory. After that the
Mooney still showed as MEP C3.

Thanks

I'm sorry my Mooney still shows as C3, even after deleting the new old one and installing the one from the above link.

Re: [FINAL VERSION?] New FSP utility - aircraft browser - IanP - 06-08-2005

Having just downloaded and tried the latest version, I have both the Mooney Bravo and Dreamfleet C177 listed as "C3".

However, I have found something odd about the C177 Cardinal:

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type=0
Engine.0=-1.75, 0.00, 0.70
//Engine.0=-1.75, 0.40, 0.70 //Set Prop sliders to 1/2 or more
fuel_flow_scalar=1.00
min_throttle_limit=0.000000

I guess it's picking up that second engine line?

I'm using lbs and US$ at the moment, despite being a Brit (and hence with British Windows settings).

Does that help at all?

Cheers,

Ian P.

Gentlemen,

Just uploaded a new version... -I hope- this time the C3 is gone...
Also I took care of your remark Ian, "//" line must not be taken in account...

let me know how it goes....

Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks

Re: [FINAL VERSION?] New FSP utility - aircraft browser - IanP - 06-08-2005

My Mooney is still C3. Hunappy - The listing entry is:

C3 | Mooney Bravo | MEP | 933kg | $992,913 | mooney_bravo

(Sorry, I can't do screenshots very easily). The Cardinals are now SEPs and C0 so that got sorted, thanks. Applause

...So... Right... What's up with this Rant Mooney?

Ian P sticks his head back into the aircraft.cfg to look for anything else that might help Dan...

Re: [FINAL VERSION?] New FSP utility - aircraft browser - IanP - 06-08-2005

Ten minutes later, Ian P returns doing a Snoopy Dance...

It's picking it up from somewhere within the [fltsim.x] description section - if I replace the descriptions with "Edited Out.", the Mooney becomes C0
and SEP.

A little more investigation says that it is picking up from the section that says "...powered by a Porsche engine. Although..."

If I replace this with "...powered by a Porsche enginex. Although..." then the aircraft lists as C0 and SEP. (I caused the same effect by putting a space between the word engine and the full stop.)

Does that help at all, or did you know that already? Wink

Is it possible to only count when it says engine.[integer] and ignore engine.[space]?

Cheers,

Ian P.

Yeah i altered the file, just like Ian P in fact, and it seems to work fine.

Thanks

Now this time if the mooney is still C3 I eat my hat Smile

Try this with your mooney uncorrected:
