If Dutch64 brings his A340 again there won't be any space on the ramp lol

lol When i landed there i was wondering whether maybe I should have used a slightly smaller plane indeed Smile The whole apron was taken and removed
some roofs of the buildings Smile

At least the airport can save some money now on garden maintenance as you did the job for them lol

Oh yes, the Captain Sim blues. I myself have issues with flying the 727, though they stem from my inability to master that aircraft.
Because I prefer to fly be feel instead of by the numbers, I run into problems. I also do not fly it often enough to get settled with it, but take-
offs sure are a blast! The thing takes off like a rocket.

You're right...the 727 does take off like a rocket. Both 757 and 727 have fairly poor flight dynamics...as compared to other payware
aircraft. I dust them off occassionally to see if I can still land them decently. The 727 is definitely a hard one to land even in the best of
conditions(as in real time). When I first bought the 727, I had to adjust the flap values in the .cfg because the values were off
considerably. Now the aircraft is more stable on approaches, and my landings are getting betterSmile

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Launchbury - 08-12-2006

Do you still have that file? I'm sick and tired of landing with a nose-down attitude and floating about 2000' feet down the runway on the
flare. I wish I would have known about the poor FD before I purchased. Is the Dreamliners version any better? 727 is my favourite aircraft
and I would like a representation that doesn't act like a leaf on a breeze.

Actually, you may be able to find the flaps configuration in "tips and tweaks" of CS's technical section. It's been some time ago that Idid
this, so I may be mistaken in the exact location.

From what I understand, people do like Dreamfleet's B727 much better than CS's. Wish I had gone that route instead.

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - Ceemosp - 08-12-2006

Do you guys know that when the 727 was introduced the use of the full flaps settings was prohibited as pilots were landing WAY to hard
with it Wink I don't know if any payware has ever been able to reproduce the high-lift flaps design of the original.

Another story about the 727 wing: An early Lufthansa 727 was "closely inspected" by night on ramp by some british engineers - namely
from Hawker.... - at the shine of some flashlights, not knowing the cockpit crew was sitting in the dimmed flightdeck. The photograph
taken by the captain is still hanging in the LH training center in Bremen. If you want to see some really stupid faces just go there lol

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - FsP Dennis - 08-12-2006

Just uploaded leg #1 and flew in headwind all the time (4hours) loaded 20000 pounds extra fuel but it wasn't enough i only had left for 11
minutes! So damn headwind i got so many damn penalty pointsRant Wink

How much of a headwind did you have??

Didn't know the history of this...glad you shared it. The CS 727 is more stable on the approach with full flaps at 120 knots. However, if you
add 5 knots or more of airspeed, the darn aircraft will float like crazy. Prior to tweaking the flap values, the aircraft would not maintain a
stable approach at any flap setting.

If you were using a short range aircraft, I can understand why you didn't have enough fuel reserves for an IFR flight. I used the 757 and
had a an average headwind of around 68 knots and still had plenty of fuel for another 3 hoursSmile

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - FsP Dennis - 08-12-2006

That's why I do no understand why 20.000 pounds extra fuel not was enough...

Re: FsP World Tour - Season #2 - gomelby - 08-12-2006

Thanks Ceemosp, there is one thing that isn't clear to me yet, as far as how this is gonna work... OK I show up on time, and what
happens, will i see a bunch of other people there, and then everybody will take off and follow each other, is that the basic idea? (btw if it is
then Im in definatly )

Thanks
