Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - CFG2606 - 25-02-2006 mhm you mean my electrical Power supply ? No , it only happens when FS Passengers wants to end ... or when you crash the plane so it would create the report again ... otherwise my PC runs fine ... no problem when flying ... or i work normaly on the PC ... there is for a blink second a blue screen ... but you can't see what it says ... And I tried it again ... Installed Windows , FS9 plus update ... and the FS passengers ... and it runs fine until I do end flight ... crash ... gone reboot ... so it has someting to do with FS passengers .... Chris ![]() Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Dutch64 - 26-02-2006 you can go to system properties of your pc , advanced and then startup and recovery, you can choose there not to automatically restart after a failure. It will then show you the blue screen so you get some more info what's causing this Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Galih Prasetya - 26-02-2006 Okay, I didn't know that EditVoicepack can cause CTD.... I installed it yesterday, and today I had 3 CTDs in a row!! ![]() Flew from Newark to Denver, PMDG 738, planned arrival in 4 hour and 28 minutes. Everything was nice at the beginning, ATC calls us with the correct callsign, and I love it when they say "Atlantic Sun 2009".... after 2 hours of flying I got the first CTD!! well, since this is the first time, I got myself a glass of tea and restart the flight... but then the same thing happened!!! approximatelly after 2 hours (!!!), I got the second CTD!!! I thought it was a hardware problem. I checked my cpu temperature, 40C, not a problem, and everything else seems fine. Since this is a weekend, I have a lot of free time, so I start FS again, adjust some display settings to lower detail, and restart the flight. This time everything seems to be fine. It was a nice flight, clear sky, a strong headwind, and finally ATC vectors me for ILS approach at rw 26 at KDEN. There was 2 airplanes behind me, but I am number one for landing. The FsP mini display inform me that I am 20 minutes ahead of schedule. I thought I would be landing in 3 minutes, then 15 minutes for taxing to the gate, and earn a lot of points for exact arrival time. But I was wrong. I got the third CTD 80 feet above the runway threshold ![]() computer just freeze, not responding at all, and force me to press that damn reset button. OK, that does it! I browse the internet and visit this forum, and I found this thread. Damn, I wish I read this thread two days ago! So guys, it's clear that Edit Voice pack was the core problem.....but I don't really want to get rid of those nice callsign....are there any other solution other than uninstalling Edit Voice pack?? ![]() Galih Prasetya Post Edited ( 02-26-06 04:46 ) Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Dutch64 - 26-02-2006 Sometimes it's a combination of software, I never had problems with editvoicepack untill i used it together with aiseparation. it went wrong always during approach. Removed EVP and no problems but like you, i wanted to use it so removed aiseparation and replaced it with aismooth and now it runs fine, both evp and aismooth. It might be diffrerent on other pc's of course but check what else is running and see if the cause might be in there Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - CFG2606 - 26-02-2006 Ok Dutch 64 ![]() the following is the blue screen message .... BAD_Pool_Header Stop 0x000019 ( 0x00000020,0X856066E0,0x856067A8, 0x0A190017 now as I said I am a complete PC nerd ![]() Chris Post Edited ( 02-26-06 15:47 ) Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Dutch64 - 26-02-2006 Bad pool header....... Unfortunatelly not easy to find the cause then. It can be several things like drivers, hardware etc. Make sure all drivers for soundcards, videocards etc are all up to date. Remove USB devices, reboot and plug in usb devices again... Sorry, but there is really not a straight solution for this..... It will be trying and trying till you found what piece of equipment or drivers is causing this Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - CFG2606 - 26-02-2006 Hi Dutch64 ![]() i don't know why but it is working now ... I installed the 3 time Windows .... and then I only placed SP2 on it .... I did not update from Windows Update page ... and it is running .... strange but so I disbled the stupid Windoof update thing ... to make sure it does not mess up again ... the only stupid thing is that Fs9 is not in the register now and I have to bowse always for every add on ... to find the FS 9 directory .... Anyhow mate I owe you a ![]() Chris Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - dagnon - 11-03-2006 Hello, Check this Dan: when you load an aricraft , it shows a window with the number of passengers you load. But this window is over the one where you load the fuel, the passengers and the cargo. If you click cancel on this window, while the window of the number of the passengers still remaining on the screen, you have a CTD. Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Enzo - 11-03-2006 Quote:Check this Dan: when you load an aricraft , it shows a window with the number of passengers you load. But this window is over...just tested it, and happens to me as well! ![]() Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Chris B. - 22-03-2006 I've had this problem too and it was giving me a hecktic time. Very disheartening to almost finish a long hours flight only to have the thing crash on you. Some have mentioned to make sure that your video card drivers are up to date and that's a good idea to put to effect. What I've learned to prevent the problem from happening is to curb back your audio acelleration. You can do this from either the "Sounds" category on your control panel. Or if you go to Start>Run and type in DXDIAG. This should bring up a screen for the Direct X diagnostics screen. Go to the sound tab and look at your accelleration setting. It's probably all the way up. For me I set it back one notch and that fixed the problem. Another thing about the problem I was having. When flying to a non-tower control airport the program works fine. It was only with the tower radio supported towers that it would crash after tower hands you off to ground following a landing (hopefully this is the same for you). So just give a check to your accelleration setting. Chris B. in Iowa Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - ukv1183 - 31-03-2006 help i keep getting a messege after i have been flying for a while it say some thing about wrong authorizeation i could send you my details from when i bought it Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Cathaxis - 20-04-2006 Here's a CTD that happens to me....occasionally FSPassengers will cause a CTD when flying into an airport at the exact point that the tower hands me off to ground. Don't know what's causing it, but I'm trying some of the fixes here and I'll report back the results soon. Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Cathaxis - 20-04-2006 My problem seems to be related to the atc.dll file in the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder. Re: Crash to desktop ? please read here: - Cathaxis - 20-04-2006 In addition, I've only had that particular problem at towered airports.
