Sorry, no time to make screenshots, I'm working like a mad, I'll make one big "screenshot session " with all work done later.

But I thought this feature is cool and deserve a little preview.

I'm redesigning the "company manager" yet, here is the maintenance tab (cut because nothing is finished yet)
As you see selecting an aircraft will display automatically the default thumbnail, but you can also click on the image
to change it and have your custom image:

[Image: 180609-001049_FastStoneEditor1.jpg]

If you click on "search google" you can save an  image, browse and select this new image...

[Image: 180609-001211_FastStoneEditor2.jpg]

You can also "delete" so it reverse to the default thumbnail, or set another...
Technically, those images are saved in your "flight database" directory, so you'll keep your aircraft image when you save/restore your database.

Providing a 256x128 image is mandatory for aircraft addon, but if by any chance an addon failed to provide one, you'll have this default picture that invite you to add an image. (Here I had to fool the code so it doesn't find the default image)

Hello Dan, I have a suggestion, I always hard landing though I practise too much times, I feel despair when I receive a punish of hard landing and landing gear destroyed. It‘s a good idea to add a choice to ban punished of hard landing in more options, just like "0"enable and "1" disable, and thank you for your hard working, I am looking forward to your reply,and new version of fspassengers for P3D V4, thank you!

Still not a big screenshot session, but just some on my actual work on the "Company Manager".
Please feel free to point the text error or anything that appear inconsistent or not practical in those UI.
It's better to correct it now when I'm working on the dialog then later at beta test rush.

For memory, this is the old Company Manager:
[Image: managerlist.jpg]

First when you open the manager, the "Buy aircraft" is active only if you don't own the current aircraft and the name of the aircraft is displayed: (Sorry, the jpg compression is horrible  Sick )

[Image: 180610-112750_FastStoneEditor1.jpg]

There are more information on this dialog and the use of images make it much more pleasant to use:

[Image: 180610-112950_FastStoneEditor2.jpg]

[Image: 180610-113213_FastStoneEditor3.jpg]

As said above you can change the image:

[Image: 180610-113256_FastStoneEditor4.jpg]

The "aircraft maintenance" tab unselected:

[Image: 180610-113334_FastStoneEditor5.jpg]

And selected, this PBY5 need some serious work Smile...

[Image: 180610-113425_FastStoneEditor6.jpg]

The good news

...Is that my rework of ALL dialogs (often involving a rework of many code) is now 95% complete.
In green all the dialog that are now ok.

I cannot believe it... It feels like we are back in 2005. Just like when we were waiting for it when it came out for fs9... Thanks for this!

Continuing the manager, a big things to do. (see screenshots above)

Almost finished the pilot tab, unselected:

[Image: 180612-124727_FastStoneEditor6.jpg]

Pilot selected with some new values.
Here we see that James Demo, the default pilot for demonstration purpose is a complete moron with 53% performance only Sad
Can you make better ? Big Grin

[Image: 180612-125651_FastStoneEditor7.jpg]

Of course, you can change the logo, but a new button "download logo"
Bring you here below, and I'll ask the designer to make some NEW generic pilot logo:
http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=download&cat=Logo&sort=Date&page=0&search=pilot&searchtype=Title&download=display&misc=pilotlogofromdll

[Image: 180612-125939_FastStoneEditor8.jpg]

Notice the new "Delete Pilot" button (wasn't possible previously)
But also the new "Dismiss button" that now HIDE the dismissed pilot as attended

[Image: 180612-130313_FastStoneEditor9.jpg]

The dismissed pilot doesn't appear anymore in the list and the "reintegrate" button will always be highlighted.
When you click on it the first time it make your pilot reappear ready for reintegration:

[Image: 180612-131034_FastStoneEditor11.jpg]

And you can rehire him..
I don't know if many peoples used this feature in the past, but at least it work now as intended, the pilot is "hidden" from your company.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - pmborg - 12-06-2018

Hello Dan,

I have to admit that this FSP-P3Dv4 version is exceeding the expectations, it is really beyond amazing.

But I am still very curious, about an issue, how it will be the new Dialog Window, to buy an airplane?
Normally if we buy an airplane which have multiple liveries(ui_variation), we need to switch/load all of them to check a good price... in one.
and this is really boring.

Sample:
E:\Prepar3Dv3\SimObjects\Airplanes>cd *320*
E:\Prepar3Dv3\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft Airbus A320 CFM>type aircraft.cfg | find "title"
title = Airbus A320 Aer Lingus EI-DEK
title = Airbus A320 Airbus Industries F-WWBA
title = Airbus A320 easyJet G-EZTB
title = Airbus A320 Air Berlin One World D-ABMS
title = Airbus A320 Lufthansa D-AIZP
title = Airbus A320 NIKI OE-LEA
title = Airbus A320 Aerosoft D-AERO (CFM)
title = Airbus A320 Aerosoft D-AERO (CFM Sharklets)
title = Airbus A320 Eurowings D-AIZQ
title = Airbus A320 CFM TAP PORTUGAL CS-TNS

There will be now, only one page with the price of all ui_variation for that airplane?

Thanks,
Pedro Borges

I'm not sure to understand. You mean this dialog ? (not redone actually)

[Image: 180612-212102_FastStoneEditor1.jpg]

If yes, what information do you miss to make it more practical ?

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - VictorVector - 12-06-2018

Looking forward to this! Let me know if you need testers.

As a fan of FSP, I have just one piece of feedback. I have noticed that once you get about 5-10 planes in your fleet, your income increases a tad too quickly. Rather than just turn off the option that lets fleet generate income, is there a way for the difficulty setting selected at the start of the game, to affect the amount of income you make? If I am not mistaken, it currently only affects how much money you start with.

That is interesting and it's the heart of FsPassengers: the gameplay.
I had to apply a rough factor based on estimation because I cannot test personally during hundred hours with several cases.
Your idea to link this factor with the start amount is interesting but someone might want to start miserly with good income later and the inverse is true. Note that this factor is linked with your flights: good flight=great income, poor flight= poor income.

Wonder "mhhhh..." (thinking out loud)

Well "tip tip, click click..." (trying something out loud)

*20 minutes later*

Something like this ?

[Image: 180613-010022_FastStoneEditor4.jpg]

I'll need your help - send me all your flights database for analysis

I would need some databases with as much flights as possible to analyse prices so I can make some simulation and can tune the factors in the dialog above

Much thanks !

Manual zip of the flight database:
-----------
1-Go to "public Document/FsPassengers" or FsPassengers3D
2-Zip the whole folder "database"
3-Send to dan@fspassengers.com

Using FsPassengers's backup utility:
-----------
1-Launch FSX or Prepar3d
2-FsPassengers menu->Utility->backup database
3-Zip the saved folder
3-Send to dan@fspassengers.com

Much thanks ! Beer

Yes! exactly that one (dialog window).

For example, if we have little money... let's say 12M€ to buy a certain airplane.
If I want to buy an A320 airplane of 30M€ for example, and if I only have those 12M€

I need to load all airplane/livery(ui_variation) which took (20secs or 30secs depend of how many airplanes  we have in the installation),
to load each one, and after all that I realize that need to make more flights and try again to load all and check if some is a bargain (old and fix) to buy.

It would be nice to have all of those prices for all ui_variations of that A320 in the same window and realize that I cant buy those yet.

Thanks.

I'll need your help

I don't have the dabatases to analyse several flights, their income and statistics to tune those factors.
I may end with a multiplier tagged as "easy" but that may be impossible and a "medium" that give you cheat money after 10 flights.

I would need some databases (send zipped by mail at dan at fspassengers.com) but also Ideally an excel sheet with as much flights as possible with their flight and fleet expense/gain so I can make them vary given a factor to simulate the final result.

Sent email with my database and a super extra difficult company mission invented by me Smile
