Well. If you'd release this as an addon functionality, I'm quite sure there's a bunch willing to buy that, me included. Let's kickstart it, shall we? Yet, it's a bit early, I don't focus on doc and they will still change. (29-05-2018, 03:49 PM)forumtroll Wrote: Well. Let's release a functional first version, we'll see for other improvements later, but I'm sure you'll already be happy with what I'm doing yet. RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - DanSteph - 29-05-2018 ------------------------------------------------------ A planned release date ? ------------------------------------------------------ As told before it's impossible to predict exactly, a sudden problem can take 10-15 days to be solved, that's half a month, two problems and it's one month that is gone. However, given what's I've already done yet and the current state (I can make a full flight with almost all features) but taking in account what need to be done until release I would be very surprised that the release happen in June. I hope and aim (and prey) for July. I'm working day and night but I don't want to release an unfinished or not polished version, that's the bad news of the good news: I'm somewhat perfectionist, but it take time. I could rush to release the exact same P3Dv3 version for x64, but I want an improved version. To accelerate the process I'm taking also contact with professionals for help with the graphism, website and such. Much thanks for your patience ![]() RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - DanSteph - 29-05-2018 And first help is a new keyboard... ![]() My old one died yesterday so I bought a razer Ornata and I love it already... https://youtu.be/KqYUI-eejK0?t=92 The typing is much more precise than my MX700, although a bit more noisy and I have a wonderful blue color scheme that light in the dark. (not my scheme here) ![]() RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - forumtroll - 30-05-2018 (29-05-2018, 10:20 PM)DanSteph Wrote: Let's release a functional first version, we'll see for other improvements later, but I'm sure you'll already be happy with what I'm doing yet. I completely agree with that. I love what you are doing, and FS Passengers certainly covers the blind spot that next to none of the other addons cover. Yes, I'll acknowledge the existence of FS2Crew, but it doesn't deliver where FSP excels, so there's really a lot of enthusiasm on my end for the finished product. But as for this as an addon feature down the pipeline? Hell yes! But please finish the product first :-P As for translations, I'll hapilly do a norwegian one for you, free of charge :-D RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - erich199 - 30-05-2018 Dan I have that exact keyboard. You'll love it. RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - QPilot - 01-06-2018 Hi Dan, can i suggest something? Im not sure if this is the place to suggest but i was thinking, and would like to suggest a feature that will allow us to customize our own company's aircraft seat. Meaning, lets say we were to buy a B772, we have the option to modify the seats, onboard entertainment, catering company and services. I mean this quality type of feature will somehow increase company's reputation and allow more passengers and revenue. I'm not sure if this makes sense but im just suggesting. Keep up the great work and will be waiting for the release! RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Sumimoto - 02-06-2018 Hi, Dan! First of all, thx for update, the hype plane is real! Also, I guess, there is a lot of people wishing you some help with a project, so maybe we really can help you somehow? Some kind of crowdsourcing? From my side, I could help you with Russian translation (text only, but may try to make a voiceover, because I have quite good microphone here) RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - erich199 - 02-06-2018 (01-06-2018, 05:23 PM)QPilot Wrote: Hi Dan, can i suggest something? That might be interesting. So you could have a fleet of 772 and have some in 3 class configs and some in 2 class configs. I like this idea. Maybe the seatings like first class, business class and economy class have their own type of seat configs. First class can offer different type of meals with various prices or maybe packages, same goes to business class and economy class!(01-06-2018, 05:23 PM)QPilot Wrote: Hi Dan, can i suggest something? RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - DanSteph - 03-06-2018 -------------------------------------- Latest news -------------------------------------- I'm still redoing dialogs with sometime new features or ameliorations and this still involve a lot of code modification or new code. I'll make a screenshot session with explanations maybe today or tomorrow. I have now 4 offers for my call for a freelancer graphist, I'll contact what I think is the better within two days. For seat, you can edit aircraft's payload model, it's easy when it exist already. About the rest I'm thinking about this since a very long time: buying equipments for each aircraft: Examples: -Phone by sat -Internet by sat -multimedia or better multimedia screen for each seat -More comfortable seats etc... I'll see when doing it, what I can add and how (maybe you can increase seat space, reducing seat number but increasing company's reputation etc.) This is postponed for a later update anyway, the priority now is to make this version out and I cannot make such a major change that would need at least three weeks of work. RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - David_Vance - 04-06-2018 Probably not the place for 'new features' but I registered just to say this ... I used to love the bonus/penalty for arriving on time, too early, too late and I would spend a lot of time in planning to try and get my estimates right. I think it would be a brilliant feature if, half way through the flight, FSPassengers would be able to advise "you are on time" "you are 20 minutes late" etc. This way you could dial up a higher mach speed, or "step off the gas" to try and land on time. Yes I know you could work this out from flight time and the on-board clock, but I think it would add a little urgency to have a reminder. It would need to happen in cruise because that 250 knot limit at 10k feet isn't going to shift. Looking forward to the new FSP. The amazing free app LITTLE NAVMAP does this, in the "aircraft info" window. RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - pwilster - 06-06-2018 Congrats on this great product! One of my few "must-haves" of all time. Please keep up the great work! I can't wait for its release! |
