Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Nishmaster - 29-07-2005 I'm finding that flying the Citation X really doesn't make me any cash. A hop from Midway to Nashville netted me a meager 8k, while the same hop in a 737 made me 636k. Just not enought pax on the Citation, and you're not going to be carrying much cargo with it either. I'm only half an hour away from the piston twins, can anyone recommend me a good freeware piston twin with speed and many seats? I'm very happy to get on the twin as I'm currently on my way to west Africa for some dangerous bushflying and crossing the Sahara in a Mooney with only one engine just didn't feel safe... *lol* Regards, Felix Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Mischa - 29-07-2005 My little airline has the following ACs : - 2 Cessna 182 II RG - 1 DHC 2 Beaver - 1 Beech D18S - 1 Beech A36 Bonanza - 1 SIAI Marchetti SF 260 Regards Michael Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - jboweruk - 29-07-2005 3XBeech A36's 3X Cessna 172's 2X Cessna 177 RGs 1X Cessna 177 1XPiper Archer 3XPiper Dakotas 2XPiper Cherokees On my to buy list: 2X Beech Staggerwing (vintage flights) 2X Stinson Gullwing (Vintage flights) 1X Piper Cub 2 X DeHavilland Tiger Moth(Vintage flights) As you can see my airline has plans even before we have pilots to fly the heavier stuff. Also, make sure your fuel planning is tight, or your profit margin disappears. I just flew a 1100 nm hop, and got 40K profit. It's small, but i'm in the green. Generally, yes, the other planes pay for the Cit flights, but then again, that's why I have the Fokker - a 150nm short hop made me 300K... Cheers, FPB Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - dreamnite - 29-07-2005 Myself, I fly mostly in the DC-3 at this point, my company, Knight Air, has the following: 2*DC-3 (one with modern equipment, one with original equipment) 1*Cessna 172 1*Cessna 182 1*Mooney Bravo Had a King Air, but that went down the tubes in a harddrive failure, so I had to start over ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - FlyBoy2 - 29-07-2005 Right now I am flying a B767-300ER ,757-200,777-200,MD83,737-800 soon to have the 767-200,MD11 and DC10-30 Post Edited ( 07-30-05 11:50 ) Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Rough_Flyer - 31-07-2005 My virtual BLUE DRAGON AIRWAYS presently has: 1 x Cessna 208B Caravan 1 x Embraer 145 1 x Dash8-Q300 Working with these birds hard to save money for a Boeing 737-700 Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - IanP - 31-07-2005 Well, as soon as I land back at my "home base", I'll be adding a C421 to the two Bonanzas and a Cherokee. One flap failure later and I got promoted two and a bit hours early. :-) You know, one of these days I may achieve some form of consistency with this add-on. Cursing it to wanting to kiss it in less than a week... ![]() Ian P. |
