Normally, in real life, pilots aren't given the ATC message to "taxi into position and hold". This is very rare. Normally, it's cleared for
takeoff right away (unless waiting in line).

That's because you fly to those "off the wall" airports where the lineup consists of you and that's it.

Yep, I sure do. Those off the wall airports like LAX, LAS, BWI, MCO, SEA, etc.! Those are certainly far from popular!
