Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - jetdude43 - 06-01-2010 Hmm... doesnt seem like the right place to bring this up, as I could get flamed for saying so, but am I the only one not totally looking forward to the 787 and 747-8? Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - whiskey-zulu - 06-01-2010 And why would you not be totally looking forward to both those a/c? Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - jetdude43 - 06-01-2010 Im not really sure... For the 787 it just doesnt look like a classical Boeing kind of plane, thats the only way I can think to describe it, I guess Itll just have to grow on me. As for the 747-8i, it hasnt really gotten a lot of interest, and even though the 747-400 is one of my all time favourites, I would hate to see an unsuccesful variant of the 747. I think Boeing would have been better off making some sort of advanced 747-400, with newer technology or something. I cant really go in to detail of how I feel about both a/c, but that about sums it up. Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - whiskey-zulu - 06-01-2010 The 747-8i is essentially a 747-400 slightly extended (I forget how long,m but I think it's 18 feet), but encorporating the new window and winglet technology of the 787, as well as the new GeNX engines and a whole host of more' advanced' bits and pieces. I know what you mean about the 787 though - I have a CG picture of both the 787 and the A350 next to each other, and they look remarkably similar externally in all bar a slight difference in the nose and the winglets, but the 787does have a 'unique' beauty about it that I think on ways does quintessentially say 'I'm Boeing, and live with it'. Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - jetdude43 - 07-01-2010 Yeah, I've heard it all before, and Iv read it on wikipedia a thousand times... ![]() Still, I have my doubts and my beliefs on what Boeing could (should?) have done... Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - whiskey-zulu - 08-01-2010 As much as we all love Boeing, and loath (sc)Airbus, Boeing are never going to be perfect, no matter how much we want them to be ![]() Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - DELTA 757-300 - 30-01-2010 HA MAN DO YOU NOW HOW YO MAKE AIRLINE SAFTEY VIDEO WORK ON FSPASSGERS?:-) Re: Boeing 787 First Flight - whiskey-zulu - 30-01-2010 Delta, this is the wrong forum for your post; please look through the FSP Customisation forum.
