Re: Captain Sim Herc released - Topaz - 24-10-2005 Is this available on CD or is a download only? Re: Captain Sim Herc released - SaVas - 24-10-2005 This was posted on the Avsim forums about cold and dark start-up: the Wing Isolation Valves are closed. Check under the guarded switch and make sure they are in the NORMAL position, switch down. After that, if you have the GTC and ATM online, you should be able to start. It is not realistic for one because those switch guards shouldn't be in a closed position with the valve switch in the CLOSED position. And also, you have no power to the ESS AC Bus, but they can be started. It was pointed out about the Wing Iso Valves. Re: Captain Sim Herc released - TonyH - 24-10-2005 Ah, thank you Savas, I see that's where the CS130 forum is as Captain Sim don't have one. Lots of posts about the C130 at Avsim. I also found this. - Quote: the ECL levers have to be in the RUN position; Will give that a try later. Re: Captain Sim Herc released - Navymmw - 25-10-2005 Is there any way to use the JATO(Jet Assisted Take-off) or is that a whole entire differnt plane? Post Edited ( 10-25-05 02:32 ) Re: Captain Sim Herc released - JayKae - 25-10-2005 You need to download Fat Albert for example from Avsim or the captain Sim website Re: Captain Sim Herc released - jboweruk - 25-10-2005 CS are working on a JATO version, I hope they're going to do it soon. Getting shot at coming out of under attack airports wouldn't be so bad if I could climb like a rocket. At avsim there is a nice water replacement called "pwover15.zip" It removes that weird effect and doesn't make the water too dark like others... Re: Captain Sim Herc released - Navymmw - 25-10-2005 How can you see the virtuial cargo hold in the captinsim C-130? Re: Captain Sim Herc released - jboweruk - 26-10-2005 Yer, I could not get ActiveCamera to work after the 9.1 update no matter what I did. ![]() Didn't matter much as I don't go wandering down the aircraft anyway, personally I'd far rather devs modelled the systems and cockpit to perfection, but that's just me. Brings back some happy memories. On that flight we spent the night at Gibraltar and I ended up drinking in the Sargeant's mess in that cluster of red buildings below the rock with the FE and Loadmaster until 3 am. My room was in the Officer's mess on the other side of the runway near the control tower. It was a long walk back through the town and the public road across the runway, so I tried to take a direct shortcut straight across the airport. I didn't get very far before the military police picked me up and I spent the night in a cell waiting for the captain of the aircraft to come and identify me in the morning. ![]() Re: Captain Sim Herc released - DBE - 26-10-2005 Quote:Dutch64 wrote: Thanks for the tip, Dutch. I don't actually use the Gibraltar scenery myself (and thus simply grabbed the pic from avsim), but you're right about the water effect: it's something I've noticed a couple of times! Re: Captain Sim Herc released - jboweruk - 26-10-2005 Aerosoft do a Gibralter scenery as well, payware but superb looking. I've never got round to buying it simply because I never fly there, but have seen screenies of it and everything is modelled, even the apes and seagulls. |
