I thought i was clear enough: i am not complaining or whining. I never did it against Dan.
It is just my thought, and if i am right, I AM OK WITH IT.
I will pass over and live anyways.

tonaz, apologies if I came off as pointing fingers. Was not my intention. Maybe I mistook what you said. Either way no harm no foul  Beer I was just ranting after coming off one of the other sites and seeing people complain about having to pay. My only point towards you was the length of time it takes to code. Again apologies if it took a different course than what was intended.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Turbine777 - 14-12-2017

My point was from my experience and number of dropped projects I have had. It's frustrating sometimes with the plethora of cryers to spare another 2 cents. It's those that stand out in your head and like I said people think there are a million people or more into simming, hahahaha. Not even 1/10th of that, and 1/10th of that probably use FSP. Now take 1 in 10 even people who complain and you get to a point you just don't want to log in and see more people giving you crap for your hard efforts. "Slam" (idiot) seems to think I mean just this thread. I've been coming here since day 1. Not just this forum but all, or most. I have read hundreds of posts on this forum through the years of people threatening to drop, or how sad it is a dev can't back up his product, etc, etc, etc, allllllll due to having to pay a new bill. You have people at Orbx that will wait a year to post an update and then scream at their audience and customer base, yet people continue sucking their ....'s .

Now as far as Dan updating people and people here being whiners, hell no they are not. They (we) deserve some sort of input. Someone asking once a day is more than acceptable and whoever says otherwise is a tard. It's important too for devs to see the numbers of those readily standing by. To see forum junkies that have no life but to stalk forums always answering for the devs is what's sad. Mind your business and move along. Anyone that posts here in asking if something is done yet has earned their full right to ask by being born on this damn planet! If you don't like it, kill yourself or don't read those who wish to know!!! Holy S#$%, Dan had v4 happen to him. He didn't come out and say "Hey folks, going to be releasing a new blah blah blah, stand by!". He got screwed by a blessing to us simmers and now we have to give him that. It's not like most, like in example, Fly Tampa announced KBOS v4 how long ago? Go ahead and go to their orbx like forum and dare ask how it's going!!! The only thing worse than a moron dev thinking they're GOD is forum trolls who habitat there thinking they answer for all. We are allowed to give our own input. Registering for a damn forum alone gives one that right and no godlike developer or brainless lover of said developers can say otherwise. I give Dan the respect he deserves, due to  the circumstances, and because he's not like other devs (pmdg for instance) that bait people (that means entice) so people can ask how it's going for a year at a time to someday get an update and be okay with it because Rob called their 15 yr old @$$ a captain. Give me a break. Look who profits and look who could be possibly burnt out. Look who's fair and who is not, then shut the idiot forum trolls that live there up and ask whatever the hell you wish. You earned it, not the idiot thinking because they called others whiners makes them somehow special. Dan needs to address the customer base and he should know that, mods or other know that, but again I give him sympathy (much) because he's practically non-profit at this point for FSP, unlike other devs doing nothing but creating new installers and charging full price.

Do I move on? Do I wait?

I think the first  Sad
As i reed his first message in this post (Dan as a post starter)... he will inform us about the progress.
At this time he didn't post any progresses anymore for months.
Also his login's on this forum is minimum as none!
If he made any progress at all, ill think he gladly like to inform us and give us a kind of deadline.
He didn't that at all the last several months.
No messages from Dan is equal as no progress at all i guess.
I agree that some posters are not that polite, but the way Dan is doing now is also not that polite.
He started this posting.......and let us wait......
So yes, i think we have to move on to FSCaptain for example.

Maybe Dan is looking as admin as incognico Wink

Welp. I guess its time to patiently wait for either FSPassengers or REX Simair. Either way, it looks like the wait is going to be long.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Autolycos - 21-12-2017

Interesting about REX Simair... thank you Josh. I've been considering FSCaptain but one thing that I enjoyed with FSPassenger was its simplicity. I don't want to spend hours preparing a flight with this and the other configuration process. But then again my virtual cockpit feels increasingly vacant so... if we have no news on our beloved FSPassenger and its talented creator, we could expand this conversation on comparing alternatives to what FSPassenger used to be; giving this forum a new life and a new meaning; and who knows... the chat might lead even to a better FSPassenger version if Dan keeps an eye on our discussion.

Simplicity and effectiveness.

I have now AH2, a lot expensive and more complex... No inflight menu... and a lot of etcs...

I just hope we did not wait 6 months for nothing.
It would be really incorrect and I would understand that some become insulting.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Autolycos - 23-12-2017

Thank you CzarW! I check AH2 and it looks very promising! And yes I agree, effectiveness and immersion was another advantage of FSPassenger.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Autolycos - 23-12-2017

I found AH2 too involved... More like a soccer team management routine... I may have missed the flight component in the reviews but I doubt. FSCaptain seems also too micromanaging during the flight than I would prefer. With FSPassenger you "set it and forget it" in a way and that I haven't found out there yet.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - EverSeen - 28-12-2017

What before the next hour, day, year ?

It will come when it's ready

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Autolycos - 29-12-2017

It appears we've been abandoned. Three days left for 2017.

RE: [official] information about Prepar3D v4 (64 bits version) - Helix1250 - 29-12-2017

He did say this in one of his posts!

"About the release date, I expect at last for the end of year "
Sadly he didn't say which year Smile
